Job Description

As Night Porter you will be the main point of contact during the night and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running and security of the hotel overnight. This varied position requires a hands-on approach excellent customer service skills and the ability to respond effectively to any situation.
The responsibility.
     Provide a friendly and professional welcome to guests during night-time check-ins and check-outs
    Carry out regular security and safety checks throughout the premises
    Manage and respond to any emergency situations in line with hotel procedures
    Perform general cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness in public areas
    Provide bar service to guests in accordance with licensing laws
    Complete reception duties including taking bookings and handling enquiries
    Prepare for the following days operations as instructed by management


Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure
  • Trustworthy professional and well-presented 
  • Flexibility to work nights weekends and public holidays
  • Basic IT skills for using hotel booking systems

This is a 30 hours per week role involving night shifts between 21:00 and 06:00

  • Our Recruitment Team will be reviewing applications and all candidates will receive a response whether you are successful or unsuccessful. If successful we anticipate two further interview stages with the Hiring Manager/wider team which will be more technically focussed and could include a presentation/task so we can see your skills in action.
