Position Summary
Were seeking a proactive knowledgeable and compassionate German-Speaking Travel Agent to join our vital team in Sofia. This is a completely on-site position fostering strong teamwork and a dynamic office environment. As a Travel Agent youll be the primary point of contact for German-speaking business travelers during night hours offering expert advice and support across various channels including phone email and chat. Your main responsibilities will involve efficiently managing travel bookings providing comprehensive information on destinations and products ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and upholding the high service standards associated with our esteemed clients brand ensuring seamless and efficient travel management around the clock. This role is available for both full-time and part-time commitments and operates exclusively on night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Consultation & Booking:
- Offer professional polite and efficient travel advice to German-speaking business travelers through inbound phone calls emails and live chat.
- Help clients with a wide range of travel inquiries such as booking complex flight itineraries hotel reservations car rentals train tickets and other ground transportation ensuring compliance with corporate travel policies.
- Research and suggest appropriate travel options based on client preferences budget and urgent business travel requirements.
- Accurately and efficiently process bookings changes and cancellations using various Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and internal booking platforms.
- Manage payment processing and ensure all financial transactions are secure and properly recorded.
Customer Service & Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve client complaints concerns and travel-related issues with empathy patience and a strong focus on finding solutions aiming for quick resolution.
- Provide immediate assistance for urgent travel situations like re-booking due to delays or cancellations itinerary changes or emergency support during trips minimizing disruption for business travelers.
- Offer precise and thorough information on travel policies visa requirements travel insurance health regulations and company-specific travel guidelines.
- Document all client interactions bookings and resolutions accurately and completely within the CRM system ensuring detailed records for future reference and analysis.
Product Knowledge & Destination Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of various business travel products services destinations and current industry trends.
- Stay continuously informed about airline policies hotel chains GDS functionalities and global travel advisories to provide accurate timely and proactive information to clients.
- Act as a true representative of the travel brand ensuring every client interaction strengthens a positive brand image builds trust and encourages continued use of the platform.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work effectively with team members supervisors and other departments (e.g. account management technical support) to ensure smooth service delivery and consistent quality across all client interactions.
- Actively participate in training sessions team meetings and calibration exercises to improve skills deepen knowledge of destinations and products and ensure alignment with evolving customer experience standards.
- Provide valuable feedback and insights on client trends common issues and opportunities for process improvements to help boost the overall user experience and operational efficiency within the travel project.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster collective success and a culture of continuous improvement.
Who Were Looking For
Language Proficiency:
- German: Fluent (C2 level) this is absolutely crucial for effective communication and comprehensive support for our German-speaking business travelers.
- English: Proficient (at least B2 level) needed for internal communication training system navigation and collaborating with international teams.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English with a strong ability to clearly and concisely explain complex travel information.
- A strong customer-first attitude combined with genuine empathy patience and a real passion for helping people plan their ideal trips.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to efficiently resolve travel inquiries and issues.
- The ability to learn quickly adapt to new GDS and booking systems travel products and changing industry rules and customer service best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail for accurate booking and record-keeping.
- Tech-savvy capable of quickly learning and using various internal systems Global Distribution Systems (GDS) CRM software and communication tools.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced on-site office environment handling multiple tasks and urgent requests.
- Comfortable working exclusively on night shifts demonstrating adaptability and maintaining high productivity during these hours.
- Prior experience as a Travel Agent (especially business travel) Tour Operator or in a similar customer service role within the travel industry is a valuable asset but not mandatory comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude communication skills and eagerness to learn about the travel sector!
- You must currently be based in Bulgaria as this is a fully on-site position.
Working Hours
This role operates exclusively on night shifts adhering to a rotational schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage for our global business travel platform. Specific shift timings will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
