Description of Role:
The Technical Analyst - Fiber & Construction is responsible for managing fiber-impacting enterprise change requests (ECRs) coordinating with construction teams and ensuring timely documentation of outages and customer impact. This role supports both field and network operations by tracking ticket performance maintaining compliance standards and collaborating with utilities and permitting agencies to execute construction and change-related work.
Responsibilities:
Create and disposition ECR tickets for fiber-related events
Implement customer impact analysis and document service-affecting incidents
Maintain and report on ticket queues with monthly scorecards and performance metrics
Coordinate with permitting authorities utilities and construction teams
Support aerial and underground fiber builds emergency call-ins and field verifications
Use enterprise systems (Oracle GIS tools) for tracking materials updates and documentation
Review construction plans and support fiber routing budget estimation and project tracking
Ensure compliance with Cox and regulatory standards (NESC NEC GO95/GO128)
Skills:
3-5 years of telecommunications experience including network or construction operations
Strong understanding of network fundamentals fiber infrastructure and NOC processes
Excellent troubleshooting communication and documentation skills
Experience with ECR systems ticket management and reporting tools
Familiarity with permitting fiber builds and utility coordination best practices
