Citizens Medical Center- a 25 bed critical access hospital

Family Center for Health Care- an outpatient ruralhealth clinic

PrairieSenior- a skilled nursing facility

Citizens Clubhouse- an onsite childcare center that cares for children 6 weeks to school age for our workforce

Citizens Medical Equipment - our durable medical equipment business

Palace Drug Store - our outpatient pharmacy.

About Citizens Clubhouse: Citizens Clubhouse is a childcare center for Citizens Health associates located on the hospital campus. We provide childcare for children ages 6 weeks to Kindergarten Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 6:30pm. We have 4 classrooms: Infant Toddler Junior Preschool and Preschool with a top capacity of 38 children in our building.


Location: 100 E College Ave Colby Ks


Position Information: The Childcare Teacher or teachers assistant will care for nurture and educate from infant through pre-school. The Childcare Teacher will report to the Childcare Director. Associates in these roles must be at least 18 years of age.


Days: Monday-Friday 4 to 5 days a week


Hours: 8-10 hour days between the hours of 5:30am-6:30pm.


Pay Range: dependent upon experience/education


What youll do:

  • Supervise and monitor safety of children at all times.
  • Organize age appropriate routines and activities.
  • Continuously engage with children appropriately.
  • Keep records of childrens progress routines and interests.
  • Help children keep good hygiene.
  • Communicate respectfully and appropriately with parents daily.
  • Practice safe behavior management.
  • Provide a nurturing and safe environment.
  • Encourage learning and socialization.
  • Keep classroom clean and disinfected.
  • Keep up to date with annual training.
  • Work closely with all other teachers.


What you bring to the table:


  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Child Development Associate Credential preferred

  • 3 months experience in a licensed child care center or program serving infants to school age or observational hours or academic hours in child development.

Typical Working Conditions:

Will work in a modular classroom with children ages 6 weeks to 12 months and walking. Will work with other teachers and aides. Will be constantly walking or standing kneeling and getting on the childs level sitting on the floor and interacting with children.
