Job Description
Accounts Receivable
Sun Mechanical Contracting Inc. is hiring an Account Receivable person to support the companys Accounting department. This position is a great opportunity for an Accounting major looking to gain real-world experience in the field. Full Time 40 hours per week
Reports to: Assistant Controller and Controller
Pay:
Responsibilities:
- Setting up contract amounts and entering any change orders
- Customer invoicing
- Payment tracking
- Enter deposits in accounting system
- Create paid job lists for accounts payable
- Collecting waivers from vendors to release funding on projects
- Close open commitments (purchase orders)
- Review jobs for closeouts - review open accounts payable open accounts receivable balances and open commitments with Project Managers
- Reconcile credit card payments and allocate to departments
- File contracts and change orders
- Pulling Job Cost reports and moving costs as necessary
- Audit and Compliance activities
- Producing reports as required by management
- Assist accounting team with various duties
- Create a variety of reports for internal staff
Requirements:
- Accounting degree preferred 2 years of accounting experience or currently enrolled in an accounting degree program required.
- Construction industry experience is a plus
- Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in computers including software for MS Office (Excel Word Outlook)
