Safely transport patients/residents to and from their inpatient/resident beds to other areas and ancillary departments and retrieve medical records prescriptions and other clinical documentation for patients/residents as requested.Job Description
Required to remove and replace medical devices and lift or assisting in lifting patients/residents to gurneys wheelchairs or other devices to facilitate transport. Inspect and perform minor maintenance to transportation tools and devices. Document and request other maintenance as needed. Must comply with enterprise guidelines and policies of health safety and security at all times and become familiar with medical terms and certain pieces of medical equipment. May be required to change or transport linens assist in transporting specimens documents or patient/residents possessions and for discharge processing of inpatient/resident rooms.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) required.
Required to register with the North Dakota Department of Health as a nursing aide within four months of hire. Registered with the North Dakota Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Aide preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six weeks of employment and must be maintained.
