Job Description
Accountant (Herndon VA)
Duties:
- Computing taxes owed assisting in preparing tax returns and ensuring that payments due are paid timely.
- Providing tax quote support and assisting with tax controls.
- Organizing and maintaining financial records.
- Presenting ways to reduce costs enhance revenues and improve profits.
- Examining financial statements to ensure that they are accurate and comply with controlling laws.
- Assisting in the coordination of accounting and tax affairs with local accounting firm of subsidiaries.
- Processing AP of vendors timely and accurately. Analyzing researching and resolving AP discrepancies. Providing vendor payment reports to agents monthly.
- Managing accounting affairs with the local accounting firm of subsidiaries.
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly quarterly and year-end closings.
- Managing AP Chart of Accounts entries and reconciliations in internal (Mandarin) financial systems.
- Communicating in written and verbal form in Mandarin and English with the parent company and subsidiaries.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in accounting finance or a similar field and six months of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Knowledge of SAP corporate accounting software.
- Mandarin fluency.
