Job Description

Salary Range: $19.06 - $22.88/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives incoming calls and messages regarding security or related issues.
- Relays information to appropriate security staff members.
- Monitors various surveillance devices and reports malfunctions to Security Supervisor.
- Answers telephones/radios relays messages to staff.
- Communicates with staff visitors and patients via an intercom system with professionalism and tact.
- Maintains appropriate logs/records of all incoming/outgoing radio traffic telephone calls all incidents by case number and locations of security staff.
- Completes written reports regarding security transactions/activities and safety conditions.
- Communicates with Window Rock Navajo Nation Police Department to request assistance as necessary.
- Understands interprets 10-way radio communication 10-codes with Window Rock Navajo Nation Police Department.
- Upon request from Security Supervisors operates play back and exports video surveillance.
- Reports unusual conditions or malfunctions to appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Communicates with floor officers to give direction and information.
- Observes and remains alert in preparation for calls about security problems.
- Maintains age specific and job specific competencies as described according to department/area/unit specific competencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: One (1) year direct work experience as a Security Officer and one (1) year intermediate working knowledge of video surveillance play-back and export. *Security experience must include securing and ensuring protection or clients visitors property and equipment.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (HSE).

FDIHB and its facilities are located within the Navajo Nation and in accordance with Navajo Nation law has implemented a Navajo/Indian Preference in Employment Policy.
