Hiring Opportunity: Canton Ohio
Our client is looking for a Weld Inspector to join their team in Canton Ohio! Our client is a leader in designing and manufacturing engineered steel structures for various clients.
The Weld Inspector would be responsible for first article inspection visual inspection of all weld in compliance with AWS D1.1 MT inspection documentation of inspection results and quality reports and identify and report defects.
Qualified candidates would need extensive welding experience with AWS D1.1 standards CWI Level 1 &2 quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- First Article inspection (set ups)
- Visual Inspection of all welds in compliance with AWS D1.1 welding code
- MT inspection
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and quality reports such as Resource sheets MT & UT reports
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Identify and report any defects or non-conformities and assist in implementing corrective actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and production staff on quality and inspection procedures
- Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained in proper working conditions
