About the team:
The Funding domain is responsible for ensuring every party involved with a GoodLeap financed project is paid accurately and quickly. This team is continually working to improve GoodLeaps platform by building new and innovative financial technology tools to intelligently track complex ready conditions and report on ledgers to help our customers confidently run their business. The team cares deeply about code quality alerts dashboards pipelines and other automation to ensure the quality of our products. We are pushing the boundaries of technology at GoodLeap and always have new and interesting projects. There is a good mix of greenfield work and improvement work.
On the technical side the team leverages technologies like C#.NET MongoDB Kafka Typescript GitHub Actions SST (Serverless stack) Lambda functions Datadog Microservices Event-Driven Architecture Kubernetes and Elastic Search to build all these cool systems.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will take on a pivotal role in developing innovative software solutions that drive the success of GoodLeaps Funding domain. In this position you will leverage your technical expertise to design build and optimize systems that deliver high-impact features and exceptional performance. Collaborating with a team of talented engineers product managers and designers youll work on a mix of greenfield projects and enhancements to existing systems helping shape the future of our cutting-edge platform.
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges values collaboration and is passionate about building impactful high-quality software solutions. Youll focus on hands-on development championing best practices in code quality testing and scalability while actively mentoring and supporting junior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable high-quality web applications and APIs with a focus on C#.NET and TypeScript/JavaScript services.
- Build secure reliable and compliant solutions with an emphasis on scalability performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate with user experience designers product managers and other engineers to deliver new features platform improvements and bug fixes.
- Write testable reliable code and implement continuous deployment practices for production systems.
- Participate in design and code reviews providing technical feedback to uphold engineering excellence.
- Mentor and support the career development of engineers through methodologies like pair programming and technical guidance.
- Analyze and optimize application code APIs and distributed systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Deploy monitor and troubleshoot large-scale systems to maintain high availability and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current with emerging technologies leading hands-on implementation efforts and driving innovation across the platform.

To be successful you should have:
- The typical problem-solving and algorithmic experience that one expects in any software engineering role
- Extensive experience with one or more of the following technologies: C#.NET TypeScript/JavaScript Docker Kafka and AWS services coupled with a strong aptitude for learning new tools and frameworks
- Experience building RESTful APIs and working with databases
- In-depth knowledge of large-scale web application design including clustering caching performance tuning and scalability strategies
- Understanding of agile methodologies like Scrum Kanban and agile engineering practices like Test-Driven Development Continuous integration and other Extreme programming practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
$146000 - $170000 a year
In addition to the above salary this role may be eligible for a bonus.
