Job Description
Position Title: Lab Attendant Science
Location: Podar International School Wagholi
Reporting To: Science Teacher / Lab Incharge / Principal
Employment Type: Full Time
Job Summary:
The Lab Attendant Science will assist in the daily functioning of the science laboratory ensuring proper maintenance of equipment and cleanliness of the lab and supporting the science faculty during practical sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the laboratory for experiments as instructed by the teacher.
- Assist students and teachers during practical sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the lab at all times.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain inventory records of lab materials and notify staff about replenishment needs.
- Follow safety protocols and assist in the implementation of safety measures in the lab.
- Help with the setup and dismantling of apparatus before and after experiments.
- Assist in the disposal of lab waste in accordance with safety norms.
- Report any damage or malfunctioning equipment to the concerned authority.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 10th or 12th pass (Science stream preferred).
- Prior experience in a school science lab will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of science lab equipment and safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and alert.
Preferred Skills:
- Punctual and reliable.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safety-conscious and responsible.
