Salary: From 32000 (Depending on Experience)

Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week (Hybrid)

The Medical Secretary will provide secretarial and administrative support of the highest quality to consultants performing a variety of duties to support assigned consultants such as handling telephone calls liaising with patients scheduling and dealing with all related correspondence. he role will also require effective and sensitive communication with patients to provide a world class service and patient experience.

The position will include secretarial and administrative support of the highest quality to consultants performing a variety of duties such as handling telephone calls liaising with patients scheduling appointments and dealing with correspondence.

What will your duties include

  • Serve as an administrative point of contact and act as a liaison between the patient and consultant. Supports the consultant and patient with queries relating to the patient treatment pathway. Work collaboratively with the patient access and business office teams and provide guidance to the patient as appropriate to facilitate a seamless patient journey.

  • Manage and prioritise multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively under the direction of the Medical Secretary Manager and Clinical Institute Leadership; manages and edits consultant schedules consultant diaries coordinating patient appointments and responding to queries from patients staff and others.

  • Correspond with patients via telephone e-mail and letter.

  • Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g. medical reports forms presentation materials messages etc.)

  • Other duties assigned.

What we need from you

  • Medical secretary experience working in a private healthcare setting.

  • Experience of using Electronic Medical Records systems.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office.

  • Effective and sensitive communication with patients.

  • Exceptional prioritization and organization skills.
