Job Description

Permanent Part-Time - 48 - 64 hours per fortnight

Successful candidates will obtain a contract with MDHS as follows:

  • 2025 - 2026: RN Graduate Program.

Graduate Nurse Support is provided by:

  • Clinical support mentorship and organisational education opportunities;
  • Supernumerary and orientation time are provided within the program structure as is Annual Leave per the EBA
  • Paid study days spread throughout the program with additional study days offered
  • Regular debriefing;
  • Access to a variety of interactive E-Learning programs including targeted online CPD topics to assist your development.

Key Selection Criteria

Registered Nurse

Qualifications / Experience

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

Sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse

Ability to communicate effectively with patients visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation

Ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities

Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice

Excellent organisational skills particularly with respect to time management

Well-developed interpersonal skills

Excellent communication and computer skills at the level required to fulfil that role

The Central Goldfields and Pyrenees regions are a great place to live work and play. There are many beautiful areas to explore along with being located only a short 50-minute drive from the Regional Cities Ballarat & Bendigo and 2 hours from Melbourne.
