The Department
The Alfred Cancer Program is responsible for the overall delivery of a comprehensive cancer service which involves a number of clinical areas and units including; Medical Oncology Clinical Haematology Bone Marrow Transplant Apheresis State-wide Haemophilia Service Radiation Oncology Clinical Trials Palliative Care and the Victorian Melanoma Service. The Alfred Health Medical Oncology service offers a multidisciplinary setting for the diagnosis treatment and follow-up of the entire range of oncological diseases.
The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse who has acquired the expert knowledge base complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice. The Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner will be an integral member of the Medical Oncology Service who practices autonomously but in collaboration with other health professionals to assess and manage medical oncology patients using advanced nursing knowledge and skills.
