Job Description
Job Summary
The Trauma Services Intern will support the trauma program by assisting with various administrative educational and quality improvement activities. This internship provides an opportunity to gain insight into trauma systems performance improvement processes injury prevention initiatives and healthcare operations in a hospital setting.
Essential Functions
Assist with data entry chart review and documentation audits
Support trauma performance improvement initiatives by gathering and organizing case data
Help prepare educational materials for staff training or community outreach
Attend trauma meetings drills and educational sessions as appropriate
Assist in organizing injury prevention events or campaigns
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current enrollment in a healthcare public health nursing or related degree program
Interest in trauma emergency medicine public health general medicine or hospital administration
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
