Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Healthy Aging Coordinator the Health Promotions Specialist provides education and training to the community on healthy aging for older adults. Service delivery includes planning teaching and evaluation of health education workshops impacting aging and disabled adults. The Health Promotions Specialist will also assist with community outreach resource development and development of public education materials. The Specialist serves as a liaison between Elder Options and community partners establishing positive working relationships and developing strong community visibility for the Elder Options Aging and Disability Resource Center.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of and continued certification as a Class Leader is required to maintain this position.
ADA/EOE. Level 2 background screening required.
