Web Designer (Key Personnel)
Location: Tysons Corner VA (Hybrid Onsite & Telework)
Clearance: Must be eligible for DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)
Contract: ICE
The Web Designer (Key Personnel) position supports onsite operations at Tysons Corner VA. The position is hybrid and reports to the Creative Director or Program Manager as designated.
C Technologies is seeking a creative and technically skilled Web Designer to support the SEVP External Training Application (SETA) by designing intuitive brand-aligned and Section 508-compliant front-end experiences. This position plays a key role in enhancing the usability and visual appeal of the platform while ensuring compatibility across devices and browsers.
Implement SCT-provided visual and brand-compliant designs into web templates and training interfaces.
Develop responsive accessible front-end components using HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript.
Maintain and enhance existing web pages and interface components.
Ensure full compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements and DHS usability standards.
Collaborate closely with software developers content creators and federal stakeholders to ensure cohesive user experiences.
Conduct cross-browser testing and implement updates based on user feedback and testing results.
Stay current on UI/UX best practices and apply modern design trends where appropriate.
Bachelors degree in Web Design Graphic Design Human-Computer Interaction or related field
(An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.)
5 years of experience designing and developing web-based applications and interfaces.
Proficient in HTML CSS and JavaScript including frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG 2.1) and Section 508 compliance.
Experience with cross-browser compatibility techniques and responsive design.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or eLearning platforms.
Familiarity with FedRAMP-authorized environments and secure development practices.
Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Figma.
Experience supporting federal clients or government training programs.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative design environments.
