Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef specializing in Italian cuisine to join our culinary team in Cairo Egypt. As a key member of our kitchen leadership you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional Italian dining experiences to our guests.
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food preparation
- Create and execute authentic Italian dishes blending traditional techniques with innovative approaches
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and health regulations
- Contribute to menu development incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
- Manage inventory control food costs and minimize waste
- Ensure consistent food quality taste and presentation across all dishes
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance overall guest satisfaction
- Participate in kitchen maintenance and cleanliness efforts
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in Italian cuisine
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Italian culinary techniques
- Excellent leadership communication and team management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-pressure kitchen environment
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory control systems
- Up-to-date food safety certification
- Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Passion for culinary innovation and staying current with industry trends
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian language is a plus

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling pushing pulling lifting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps.
