JOB PURPOSE:
The Griffin Facility is home to a diverse product portfolio where we assemble test and ship 3400V Engines Gensets and Power Modules. Our manufacturing environment is fast paced appropriately challenging and decision oriented. As Product Change Control Technician you will be responsible for coordinating engineering releasing activities between engineering design areas and procurement/scheduling with effective and timely implementation.
What you will do:
- Create maintain and communicate accurate change management data at both the local and corporate level through data entry in multiple management information systems.
- Analyze engineering releases changes drawing notices to create change management requirements providing the creation of product structure based on engineering design.
- Maintain close team relationships with releasing analysts as well as teams in manufacturing operations process planning engineering design and material planning.
Skills you will have
- Core Application Systems: Extensive knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
- Service Excellence: Extensive knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent customer service in a direct or indirect manner.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Extensive understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
- Problem Solving: Working knowledge of the approaches tools and techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operations or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Manufacturing Application Systems: Working knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate maintain and update these systems.
- Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Basic understanding of the processes practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.

Summary Pay Range:
$71040.00 - $106440.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
