Job Description

Materials Management and Transportation Manager (Level K) (2nd Shift and 3rd Shift)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Materials Management and Transportation Manager (Level K) (2nd Shift and 3rd Shift) to join our 737 Tool Services team in Renton WA. 2nd shift hours: Mon-Fri 1:30 pm till 10 pm or 3rd shift hours: Mon-Fri 10:30 pm till 5 am.

Join our team as and play a crucial role in enhancing tool control for the 737 program. You will help us improve tool compliance while driving innovation by incorporating advanced technology into our tool control processes. This position offers the opportunity to lead the industry in the integration of technology within tool management ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of efficiency and compliance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employee activities across more than one area in tools services.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
  • Leads develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3 years of experience in production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacity
  • 3 years of experience leading projects and/or teams
  • 3 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 3 years of experience working with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelors degree (or higher)
  • 1 years of experience in Inventory Management / Inventory Management Methodologies
  • 1 years of experience with Problem Solving Methodologies
  • 3 years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or the Production System
  • 3 years of experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • 3years of experience do you have in Aerospace Manufacturing Quality or experience in a regulated industry
  • 3 years of experience with business knowledge leadership and people skills to inspire a safe work environment
