Position Overview
We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and manage property-related projects within a government contracting environment. This role is ideal for a high school graduate who brings hands-on experience with government property accountability especially through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) platform (formerly Wide Area Workflow) and is well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) regulations environmental health standards and emergency response protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Plan coordinate and execute government property-related projects in accordance with contract requirements and military compliance.
- Track progress milestones and deliverables to ensure timely execution and reporting.
- Government Property Accountability
- Oversee the accurate tracking and transfer of Government Furnished Property (GFP) using the Transfer Module within PIEE .
- Validate item information including Item Name Description NSN Manufacturer CAGE Code (if applicable) and quantities during the receipt process.
- Ensure contractor-submitted data matches government documentation and records.
- Compliance and Safety Oversight
- Enforce and comply with military-specific policies and guidance including but not limited to:
- AR 600-63 (Army Health Promotion)
- Installation Smoking Policies
- Installation Safety and Fire Prevention Programs
- Hazard Communication Standard (HCS)
- Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)
- Threat Awareness and Reporting Program (TARP)
- Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to ensure workplace compliance and readiness for inspections or emergency scenarios.
- Property Book Management
- Support property book transfer processes ensuring accountability during transitions.
- Reconcile and document discrepancies in property records or inventories.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the liaison between the company government agencies and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication project updates and issue resolution.
- Provide regular status reports to upper management and government property administrators.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience in government property management or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with PIEE especially its GFP Transfer Module.
- Familiarity with DoD and Army-specific safety and environmental compliance frameworks.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply military regulations and technical documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in government property management (e.g. NPMA CPPA) is a plus.
- Prior military or defense contracting experience.
- Familiarity with logistics or asset tracking software.
Working Conditions
- Some travel may be required depending on project location.
- Work may be performed in office settings and/or warehouse and field environments.
