Our community works daily to think critically creatively and morally so that we can serve God with Title: Director of Curriculum & Instruction School Name: Archbishop Carroll High SchoolLocation: Washington DCPosition Type: Full-Time 12-Month PositionJob SummaryThe Director of Curriculum and Instruction provides visionary leadership in the planning development implementation and evaluation of the schools academic programs. This role ensures alignment with national state and Archdiocesan standards while promoting instructional excellence and student achievement. The Director collaborates closely with the Principal and serves on the Academic Council Educational Technology Team and the administrative leadership ResponsibilitiesAcademic LeadershipLead the design implementation and evaluation of curriculum and instructional academic policies and practices align with educational standards and school school-wide data to inform instructional decisions and federal and state academic programs (e.g. Title I IIA III IV).Faculty DevelopmentSupervise and support faculty through classroom observations feedback/coaching and growth professional development and in-service new teacher orientation and in faculty recruitment and hiring & AssessmentAnnually develop master schedule Manage curriculum review cycles textbook adoption and instructional and maintain assessment calendars and testing and report on curriculum instruction and assessment Academic Council meetings and contribute to school-wide academic DutiesPrepare and manage the academic affairs on school calendar development and communication with student admissions transfers and academic the school in educational technology initiatives and EngagementCommunicate effectively with students parents and to weekly faculty and parent extracurricular activities including advising coaching and degree in education or related field; certification in secondary teaching or administration of 3 years of experience preferably with low-income or first-generation understanding of curriculum development and differentiated knowledge of curriculum design instructional strategies and data communication leadership and organizational writing editing and presentation in Google Workspace Microsoft Office and student information to Catholic education and the mission of the Archdiocese of QualificationsPracticing Catholic or familiarity with Catholic traditions and valuesExperience working in a diverse and inclusive school environmentAbility to work collaboratively independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced settingPositive service-oriented attitude with a passion for education and youth developmentExperience with data compilation and analysis to support decision-making and reportingWorking ConditionsFull-time position with occasional evening and weekend working in a school and office be able to manage moderate to high levels of InstructionsPlease submit the following via SchoolSpringCover letter expressing your interest and alignment with the schools missionCurrent resumeContact information for three professional references
