Job Description
Job Title:Occupational Therapist
Grade:Band 6
Location:Rotherham Yorkshire
Working Hours:15 hours per week
Rate:Competitive details to be discussed upon application
We are seeking a skilled and compassionateBand 6 Occupational Therapistto join our NHS client in Rotherham Yorkshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence-based and client-centred principles.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of functional abilities sensory needs and daily living skills.
- Plan implement and evaluate individual and group interventions to promote independence and participation in daily life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams families and external agencies to ensure holistic care.
- Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and legal standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience ideally in community or mental health settings
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in occupational therapy
