Are you a driven and academically strong graduate looking to support young learners in English and Maths
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an Intervention Tutor to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Leeds. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers or education professionals eager to gain meaningful experience supporting students in Years 711 with targeted intervention sessions across English and Maths.
This is a high-impact role ideal for graduates with a strong academic background in English and Maths and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Youll design and deliver 1:1 and small group sessions provide GCSE support and make a lasting difference in pupils confidence and academic progress.
Intervention Tutor Job Summary:
- Intervention Tutor English and Maths Secondary School in Leeds
- 444 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Gain school-based experience ahead of a potential Teacher Training pathway
- Support pupils aged 1116 in English and Maths across KS3 and KS4

Intervention Tutor Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 and small group interventions in English and Maths
- Work with students across Key Stage 3 and 4 including GCSE preparation
- Provide in-class support alongside teachers as required
- Support SEND and disadvantaged students with tailored academic help
- Track and report progress to teaching staff and intervention leads
Intervention Tutor Requirements:
- Minimum 2:1 degree ideally in English Maths or a closely related subject
- Excellent academic track record particularly in English and Maths across GCSE and/or A-Level
- Enthusiastic about education and committed to helping students succeed
- Clear confident communicator with a supportive and proactive mindset
- Previous experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential
