Job Description
Merch on Demand is a rapidly expanding Amazon business that provides a make-on-demand platform for creating publishing promoting and selling merchandise such as t-shirts hoodies and other products. Content creators can create sell and market their merchandise using this platform. Buyers can create their own custom designs and purchase it on the Amazon retail website.
Key job responsibilities
As an engineer for the Merch on Demand team you will play a key role in shaping the design and development of features that impact millions of internal and external customers including buyers content creators internal business and fulfillment operators. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Amazon development tooling and some exposure developing and operating to end-to-end multi-tier software. They think in terms of architecture and not just code break down requirements into manageable tasks. They execute following Engineering and Operational Excellence best practices required to maintain large distributed systems that operate across the globe.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
