Sr Technical Customs Learning Specialist, Amazon Customs & Trade Learning & Development

Amazon Customs & Trade University (ACT University) is seeking a Sr. Learning Specialist supporting technical customs training development and delivery. ACT University supplies education training and certification for Amazons customs brokerage operators specialists and managers. We provide global customers (International FBA Sellers Amazon BU Partners and External Freight Forwarders) a one-stop customs business for international transportation services. Amazon Customs & Trade University is seeking a Sr. Learning Specialist supporting technical customs training development and delivery. Youll develop and implement technical training programs for internal customs and trade team members who own customs clearance of ocean air rail and truck cross-border shipments. Youll play a vital role in shaping how we deliver customs brokerage education for classification regulatory compliance and documentation trade agreements advanced customs software and other duty related trainings. A Sr. Customs Learning Specialist is comfortable talking in front of a group as well as one-on-one with individuals and is able to give and receive feedback effectively. This role will deliver high visibility programs supporting ACTs mission to revolutionize international logistics through highly-effective learning solutions.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and innovate training projects managing timelines and providing solutions to learning needs
- Facilitate blended learning experiences including virtual instructor-led training (VILT) in-person sessions and hands-on instruction
- Conduct data-driven assessments of learning performance and program effectiveness
- Identify and address learning content gaps through innovative solutions and material development
- Manage classroom instruction and performance reporting
- Provide subject matter expertise in customs brokerage operations
- Create and maintain training materials for customs clearance processes across ocean air rail and truck operations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance training effectiveness
- Monitor and implement industry best practices in learning and development

A day in the life
Your day might begin with facilitating a virtual training session for Broker Operations Partners followed by analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement. Youll collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new content addressing identified gaps conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and participate in project planning meetings to align training initiatives with business needs. Youll also spend time reviewing and updating training materials to ensure compliance with customs regulations and operational requirements.

- International logistics work experience.
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated success developing coaching and assessing business processes.
- Corporate training or e-learning platform experience.
- Experience using computers to develop instructional materials and presentations.

- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with adult learning theory and/or human performance improvement.
- Experience with performance metrics process improvement.
- Ability to communicate effectively with global stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel Word PowerPoint and data analysis logic.
- Excellent accuracy organizational and time management skills.
- Editorial background and exceptional content proofreading skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work without close direction in ambiguous environments.
