Information Security Analyst
The Yuba Water Agency invites qualified candidates to apply for the Information Security Analyst position within the Information Systems Department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a knowledgeable professional to join a highly motivated workforce in an incredible work environment.
Information Systems Department and the PositionThe Information Systems Department consists of 13 staff members (including one manager and one supervisor) who provide for and manage Agency business technology and information systems including security hardware software networking compliance support and training. The Information Security Analyst is managed by the Information Systems & Security Manager. The Information Security Analyst supports the Information Security Team with the monitoring of security architecture and controls for business and operational technology systems. This position assists with end user support and training while supporting the Senior Information Security Analyst with the planning and specification of technology resources to achieve the Agencys security objectives. The incumbent must be familiar with current cybersecurity best practices standards and technologies.
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have more than one year of helpdesk experience in a fast-paced mission critical environment and have at least one year of network analyst or systems analyst experience. The candidate will interact with agency staff daily and must have good communication skills. Additionally the candidate would need to be highly motivated and flexible with the ability to manage multiple security issues at the same time. Finally the candidate would have the ability to assess issues and escalate to the appropriate Information Systems team member.
Education/Training/Experience
Education:
Equivalent to a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science information systems or a closely related field; or 3 years equivalent combination of education certifications and/or experience may be substituted for the listed qualifications.
Experience:
Must have 3 years of related experience in computer science information systems information security or closely related discipline.
License or Certificate:Possession of and ability to maintain an appropriate valid drivers license. Possession of or ability to acquire one of the following certificates within 6 months of date of hire (ex. CompTIA Security ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity or Cisco Certified Cybersecurity Associate) or higher certification.
Special Requirement:

The annual salary range for the Information Security Analyst is $102772.80 - $124904.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. In addition the agency offers an attractive benefits package that includes:

The AgencyEstablished in 1959 the Yuba Water Agency is a stand-alone public agency governed by a board of seven elected officials to serve the people of Yuba County. The agency owns and operates the Yuba River Development Project which includes New Bullards Bar Log Cabin and Our House dams. Water released from New Bullards Bar travels to the New Colgate and Narrows I and II powerhouses where it is used to generate renewable carbon-free electricity. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains the Yuba River Development Project significantly reduces flood risk and ensures a reliable water supply for the people of Yuba County.
Each year millions of dollars of the revenue earned from sales of hydropower and water are reinvested in the county through projects and grants to provide local resources and support community development and improvement projects. The Agency also makes significant financial investments to improve the natural fisheries of the Yuba River and to educate the public about water and fisheries issues. The Agency is governed by a seven-member board of directors made up of the five Yuba County Board of Supervisors and two members at large. The board meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday morning of every month.
