Starbucks Barista

Summary:

The Starbucks Barista provides guests with prompt service quality beverages and products and maintains a clean and comfortable store environment. Under the direction of the Starbucks Manager the Starbucks Barista is responsible for performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Delivers excellent guest service to internal and external customers in line with the organizations mission culture and values.
• Models appropriate guest and partner interaction at all times.
• Performs the opening and closing procedures as well as all other normal cashier duties.
• Helps restock as needed.
• Follows operational policies and procedures including those for cash handling and safety and security to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
• Provides quality beverages whole bean and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follows health safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Adheres to Starbucks and Rock Citys employment policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and orderly bar back of house and caf.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Ability to display a professional engaging and polite image to guests and team partners.
• Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations knowing that your feedback and input is important to the team.
• Ability to read and understand training materials.
• Ability to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced efficient environment.
• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
• Ability to provide a flexible schedule to work nights weekends holidays and special events as needed.
• Required to regularly use hands and fingers. Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds. Required to walk stoop kneel or crouch frequently. Must be able to stand regularly.
