Job Description

Job Description

The Instrumentation Technician will maintain calibrate service troubleshoot and repair measuring and test equipment (M&TE) process instrumentation production equipment controls analytical field equipment and process control systems used in utilities and facilities areas. Will be required to work on a variety of electrical electronic mechanical process control systems and or online process analytical equipment of M&TE.

Responsibilities:


Performs troubleshooting and repairs on all types of M&TE. Processes electronic work orders house requisitions miscellaneous purchase orders and various other administrative activities that support daily job functions.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a large variety of equipment including transmitters analytical instruments and various process instrumentation
Work with electrical equipment up to and including 480V.
Develops recommendations for solving M&TE electrical controls hardware and measurement problems.
Develop techniques as necessary to ascertain that newly acquired or developed M&TE performs in accordance with required specifications.
Ensures that GxP and safe work policies and procedures are followed and maintained at all times in accordance with established company policies.
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Supervisor.



Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications

HS diploma with 5 yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate with 3 yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 1 yrs. experience.
Valid drivers license is required.
Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
Must have knowledge of a production environment including boilers chillers compressors and processing instrumentation.
Must be skilled in troubleshooting various instrumentation utilizing schematics tech manuals and flowcharts.
Ability to learn quickly the theory and operation of newly purchased M&TE for analytical or process control systems.
Capability to work within and promote a team environment.

Salary: $23 - $41.5
