THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated & talented individual to join the team as a AP/AR Assistant. We are working through an exciting period of growth as we expand into new territories and increase our service offering therefore we expect this role to help underpin our finance team through improved processes and controls.
Working closely with the AP/AR Manager and local Management Accountants you will be the core support for the day-to-day financial operations across the UK and EU markets.
This role will involve the management of both internal and external stakeholder relationships so requires someone who is confident in building personalized relationships and comfortable in dealing with and resolving queries.
The finance team consists of 10 people globally headed up by the Chief Finance Officer based in London.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
AR function support to include:
- Raise sales invoices within a 48 hour timeframe from request
- Resolution of any billing queries with CST
- Finalisation of client invoices post approval by AP/AR Manager
- Follow up and chase for any overdue client balances and manage escalation process if issues arise
- Full monthly close out of AR ledgers to ensure accurate monthly reporting
AP function support to include:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices following the approvals process and data entry into Paprika
- Resolving any queries which may arise during process
- Preparation of payment runs for review with the AP/AR Manager
- Reconciliation and posting of credit card statements for review with the AP/AR Manager
- Process expense claims for review with the AP/AR Manager
- Flag any unusual or erroneous activity from credit cards expenses invoices or email requests
- Full monthly close out of AP ledgers to ensure accurate monthly reporting
Month End Processes:
- Full monthly close out of AP & AR ledgers
- Daily bank reconciliations with full close out at month end
Others:
- Creation of new clients and job set up in Paprika
- Creation of new suppliers within Paprika
- Assistance with accounts inboxes ensuring timely processing and response
- Any ad hoc requests
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Good organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with people at all levels
- Paprika knowledge advantageous but not essential
- French or German speaker advantageous but not essential
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Advanced Excel skills
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a permanent position and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. It is a full-time role working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The salary range isper year depending on experience.
