Job Description

Seeking Health Teacher at Village School 1 Year Appointment. Starting on (or around) October 1st 2025 (for the 2025-26 academic year). Certification Required. Health curriculum content/instruction for grades 456. Position Responsibilities:Responsible for creating a safe encouraging enjoyable and respectful learning environment that fosters promotes and develops the physical intellectual social and emotional health of a program of study that meets the needs interests and abilities of the students and is aligned with the health curriculum standards. Ability to create engaging lessons that align with SHAPEs National Health Education standards and the Massachusetts Comprehensive Health and Physical Education curriculum a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil. Integrates tiered supports to support all students with parents/guardians through conferences and other means to discuss students other duties as assigned by the Principal. Additional Requirements: Appropriate DESE license requiredExperience as a health educator
