The Boeing Company is seeking a Metrology & Calibration Specialist to join our team in Seattle WA. As a calibration technician you will have an important and exciting role in the company that includes calibration of various Measurement and Test Equipment and development of procedures for test equipment. Boeing has diverse metrology parameters such as precision dimensional and optical precision mass temperature-humidity pressure flow and force. You will tackle new and challenging problems every day. You will be supporting military and commercial programs such as 777X 737MAX 787 P-8 Tanker and others.

This role will be responsible for providing products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards regulatory requirements and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life not accepting creating or passing any defects and speaking up.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Mid-Level Metrology & Calibration Specialists.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supports and plans activities to conduct and document tests on products systems components materials and manufacturing processes and technologies

• Coordinates and participates in test design and performs routine procurement fabrication and assembly of components test fixtures and test systems

• Coordinates test requirements determines test methods and capabilities.

• Facilitates system pre-test setup integration checkout and post-test tear-down

• Conducts routine tests analyzes data and documents results

• Troubleshoots and resolves of laboratory and test-related problems

• Coaches and trains others

• Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1 years of experience in Metrology and/or measurement science

• Experience with Flow Pressure Linear Measurements Temperature/Humidity Electrical and other Physical Metrology processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 3: 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience with electrical calibration/certification

• Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)

• Experience in the aerospace industry

• PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) experience

• Experience with Labview C and Access

• Experience writing and configuring automated software and hardware tests

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $51000 $69000

Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $59500 $80500
