Job Title:Clinical Psychologist Adult Mental Health (AMH)
Band:8a/b/c
Location:Blackpool Lancashire
Working Hours:37.5 hours per week
Rate:Competitive details to be discussed upon application
We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedBand 8a/b/c Clinical Psychologistto join our NHS client in Blackpool Lancashire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract supporting adult mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide highly specialist psychological assessments formulations and interventions for adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
- Offer expert consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams to enhance psychological understanding and care planning.
- Deliver clinical supervision to junior psychologists trainees and assistant psychologists.
- Contribute to service development quality improvement and audit activities.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based practices and psychological therapies across the service.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Significant post-qualification experience in adult mental health settings
- Advanced skills in psychological assessment formulation and intervention
- Experience in supervision consultation and service development
- Strong leadership communication and team-working abilities
