Join Seven Network as our new Graphic Artist in Canberra!
The Opportunity
The Graphic Artist is responsible for designing high-quality program graphics and animations for Sevens 6PM News across local markets in NSW Victoria and WA.
Based in Canberra you will work closely with Journalists Producers and Production teams to bring news stories to life through compelling visuals. Reporting to the Studio Team Leader in Canberra your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Designing and executing high-quality graphics for news weather and promos.
- Collaborating with journalists and producers to create engaging visual content.
- Ensuring all on-air graphics meet industry standards and brand guidelines.
- Maintaining an efficient graphics library and keeping up with the latest design trends.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure timely delivery of graphics.
About You
Youre a detail-oriented creative and proactive Graphic Artist with a passion for visual storytelling. You have a dynamic work ethic and a drive to continuously improve and an adaptable individual you thrive in a team environment but can also work well independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines whilst always taking pride in maintaining top-quality output.
You will have:
- 1-3 years professional experience in graphic design
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop After Effects Illustrator and a basic understanding of Final Cut Pro.
- A degree diploma or similar qualification in graphic design
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment (TV/ broadcast media experience is a plus but not essential).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Producers Directors and Reporters.
