Classroom Teacher Aide - Instructional Aide Building: Taft Elementary
This is a 7-hour day-1330 hours per year position and will be paid as per salary schedule. Persons applying for this position must have a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate; they must have or be willing to obtain a State of Ohio Department of Education Teacher Aide Permit along with the Highly Qualified Requirement of the No Child Left Behind (ESEA). Persons applying for this position may need additional training to meet requirements for Step Up to Quality and the Early Childhood Education Grant. Teacher Aide experience would be helpful.

JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Classroom Aide- Instructional Aide
RESPONSIBLE TO: Building Administrator/Classroom Teacher/Director of Student Services
DEPARTMENT: Aides
CLASSIFICATION: Instructional Aide
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Nine-month contract - 190 days at 7 hours per day total of 1330 hours per year
GENERAL DUTIES: The Instructional Aide will provide support and assistance to teachers and students in an educational setting helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills patience and a passion for working with students of all abilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal growth.
