Job Description
Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of School Counselor for the Middle School building. Candidates with certification in School Counseling will be considered for this position New York Certification is preferred but out of state certification will be considered. Experience is a plus!
The ideal candidate is a dynamic self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
Job responsibilities:
- Use the student management system School Tool to enroll and schedule students
- Mental health support including individual and group counseling
- Support students through academic coaching
- Prepare and present classroom lessons using Second Step Curriculum
- Management of the 504 process
- Support and improve the existing programs such as RtI
- Plan your time and collect data to support your work
- Use and improve the schools Comprehensive Counseling Plan
Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school primarily serving students from the city of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color.
