The Role
ABC Tropical North has an exciting opportunity for an experienced content maker who can produce compelling stories across multiple platforms.
This role will see you:
- Produce and present distinctive and engaging content including radio programs as required
- Create content across a number of platforms including digital video social media and radio programs
- Identify and deliver original regional stories to a local and national audience
- Develop strong contacts and break stories
- Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.

About You
You have the necessary content making experience and presentation skills to be successful in this role. You have accomplished editorial skills and a willingness to work in a collaborative way as part of the ABC Tropical North team under the direction of the bureau Editor.
Does this describe you
- You have a thorough understanding of cross-platform content production
- Youre savvy with social media and online content and know how to engage a diverse demographic
- You have a track record of producing and/or presenting high quality contemporary radio
- Youre passionate about local current affairs social issues business technology and culture
- You have a sound knowledge of the Tropical North region as well as national and international issues
