Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor to join our team on the Inland Rail Albury to Parkes Enhancement Project based in Wagga NSW.

Daily duties:

  • Working in conjunction with delivery and safety teams participate in the onboarding and mobilisation of all plant to the projectsite.
  • Undertake inspections to ensure incoming plant meets compliance requirements for theproject.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including subcontractor representatives to ensure compliance requirements are understood andmet.
  • Work closely with the delivery team to ensure onboarding deadlines are met to prevent impact onprogram.
  • Manage scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance of Martinusplant.
  • Ensure maintenance records and asset registers are accurate and up to date at alltimes.
  • Any other tasks required such as assistance with stores inspections audits and reporting.

Skills and Experience:

  • Trade qualification - mechanical or heavy diesel fitter CERT3 or completed 4 yearapprenticeship
  • Experience with civil and track mobile plant & working knowledge of lightvehicles.
  • Valid HR drivers licence
  • Construction white card
  • Desirable but not mandatory: Existing Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW) with current rail industry competencies and Cat 3 rail medical
  • Any additional certificates / high risk licenses will also be wellregarded.

  • Ability to work to deadlines and can prioritise tasks underpressure.
  • Can communicate well and build rapport with key stakeholders
  • Able to navigate software and apps to undertakerole.

About A2P

The Inland Rail Program is a 1700km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts tunnels rail track crossings and bridges.

Works in the Albury to Illabo and Stockinbingal to Parkes sections involve extensive enhancements to specific sites across the 355km of existing track running from Albury to Parkes. These enhancements will provide the necessary vertical and horizontal clearance along the existing Main South Line corridor to support the safe running of double-stacked freight trains up to 1800m long and 6.5m high.
