Description

The Church Communication Internal Communications Specialist will support internal communication within the department communication with the areas from headquarters and communication across departments. This role is crucial in enhancing Church Communication and relieving the load from senior executives through the execution of effective internal communication strategies.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to department leadership in communicating effectively across departments.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of internal communications materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare regular communications updates (as directed by supervisor) to ensure proper communication flow among the team
  • Design and implement internal activities (including but not limited to devotionals and team meetings)
  • Share coordination materials for internal use that improve workflow and scheduling of internal activities for the division
  • Increase employee engagement and awareness of organizational goals values and promoting productivity through various communication channels and platforms.
  • Communicate various messages to internal audiences using creative and effective methods and tools such as newsletters intranet videos presentations etc.
  • Collaborate with other members of the communications team and other departments to develop and implement communication plans and solutions for various projects and initiatives.
  • Influence modify or execute policies that may have department-wide implications in alignment with the Church Communication Departments role and responsibilities.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in communications
  • 4 years of experience in communications or a related field

Demonstrated Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to grasp and communicate complex issues effectively to various stakeholders
  • Advanced writing editing research and proofreading skills
  • Ability and skills in working with multimedia
  • Graphic design skills and ability
  • Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills and customer-service ethic
  • Proven creativity organizational ability and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated professionalism including the ability to express oneself clearly in interactions with others
  • Ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a larger multidisciplinary team
  • Aptitude for problem-solving taking initiative to set priorities and handling multiple projects efficiently and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals objectives and obligations while representing the mission visions and values of the organization

This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office 2 remote. There may be weeks that with meetings and project that you will need to be in the office more than 3 days.
