We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing nutritious and well-balanced meals while adhering to dietary restrictions. As a Cook in our facility you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery by providing wholesome and comforting meals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and prepare daily meals according to specified dietary guidelines and nutritional requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen inventory order supplies and monitor food expiration dates.
- Consistently monitoring the temperature of hot food as well as ensuring that cold food is stored according to standards.
- Maintain allergy listings for any new food allergies
- Able to provide guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Able to prepare appropriate and nutritious menus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to work independently.
- Communicates effectively (both written and verbal) with clients and colleagues.
- Organized detail-oriented multi-tasker adaptable and positive attitude.
- Proven experience as a cook in a similar setting preferably in a healthcare or substance abuse treatment facility.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings including a background check and drug test.
