Job Description
Overview:
The Assistant Construction Manager here at Blue Heron will be a part of our boundary pushing Nexus division. The Assistant Construction Manager will be responsible for working with senior construction leadership to oversee the daily management coordination supervision and successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Construction Managers in project planning budgeting and identification of resources needed.
- Assist and manage construction activities as directed by the Construction Manager.
- Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of each home.
- Assist the Construction Manager in monitoring the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and participating with the Project Manager in regular status meetings with all the Trade Partners.
- Assist in maintaining strict adherence to the construction quality and jobsite safety standards of the community in coordination with the Construction Manager and engage in the continuous inspection of homes and overall construction.
- Assist Construction Managers in the identification of elements of project design and construction issues likely to give rise to disputes and claims within a given project or community.
Requirements
- Experience in residential construction management.
- Strong organizational and people skills.
- Sound knowledge of production homebuilding.
- Osha 30.
