Job Description

Job Title: Human Resources Specialist / Employee Relations Liaison

Company: Orvilles Home Appliances

Location: Lancaster New York 14086

Company Overview:

For nearly six decades Orvilles Home Appliances has been a leader in the home appliance industry in the region. We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist with strong Employee Relations experience to support and maintain our strong company culture. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Lancaster New York.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will oversee the organizations daily administrative functions pertaining to Human Resources at Orvilles. These functions will include recruitment onboarding payroll employee benefits the liaison between the employees and management and the ambassador to foster and maintain the companys culture.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Assist in developing and executing HR procedures and policies providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems including metrics queries and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
  • Manage the staffing process including recruiting interviewing hiring and onboarding
  • Assist in administering benefits compensation and employee performance programs
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve employee experience
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws and update policies and /or procedures as required
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR support /advisory service to employees

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher business-related degree
  • 1-2 Years of HR Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR / SPHR Certification
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce
  • Thorough understanding of NY State & Federal Laws & Regulations

Hours: Full time On site 8:00am - 4:30pm / Occasional Overtime

Salary:$25.00 - $36.00 hourly
