Salary - $49700 - $6100 annually depending on experience. This position is not eligible for remote work. Regular in-person attendance is required to meet business and customer needs.
This position will work with the Demmer Center manager staff public and internal/external organizations to develop and implement educational recreational and competitive programs for archery; assist the Center manager to develop review and maintain the standard operating procedures and archery range rules; act as expert regarding the safe operation of all range equipment including required maintenance inspections and technical repairs; help maintain archery equipment and assist with regular facility operations including archery and shooting events. This position will be required to interact with consultants vendors suppliers and university personnel. Provides outstanding customer service manage various requests from customers vendors and staff; running various report and entering and updating data. This position may also support the retail operations as needed.
Job responsibilities as follows:
40% - Exercise expertise in the safe operation of all archery range equipment including all required maintenance proper inspection procedures and technical repairs.
40% - Oversee operational range activities events and instruction. Assists with retail operations as needed. Provide excellent customer service manage requests from customers vendors and staff in a professional and timely manner.
10% - Assist Demmer Center Manager to develop review and maintain the standard operating procedures and range rules related to bow technology maintenance and operating procedures.
10% - Correspondence through email training meetings and professional development. Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing an associates degree in a related recreational sports area; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in instructing others in archery or related shooting sports; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and professional level competitive experience in archery or related shooting sports. A valid vehicle operators license is required to perform the duties of this position.
An individual who has the passion and knowledge of maintaining and assisting with archery and related shooting sport activities. 3 - 5 years of related experience with Demmer Center or Shooting Sports Facilites operations.
A creative and innovative lifelong learner with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population; able to problem solve within a collaborative team environment; ability to understand different perspectives while utilizing expert knowledge of the technical operations of the job.

Non-Standard / Variable Work hours: Very flexible work schedule based on the needs of the Demmer Center. The hours above represent the business hours of the Demmer Center and will include evenings and weekends.
