Position Summary:
Develops and helps to maintain the electronic medical system software applications and databases. Develops an understanding of the application functionality reporting capabilities interfacing and integration associated with clinical applications assigned.
Reports to: Manager
FLSA: Exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Facilitates the design and/or build of screens forms data flow and processes with clinical relevance automating clinical process and documentation of patient care to the fullest extent possible.
Provides a clinical voice in technology-focused discussions at all levels of the organization.
Embraces and promotes the use of clinical technology within patient care. Uses observation and feedback from all stakeholders to improve clinical processes and optimize clinical systems to meet the values vision and mission of the organization.
Assists in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to clinical practice.
Plays an active and collaborative role as a team member for multiple concurrent projects and work activities. Communicates proactively and constructively with all stakeholders seeking and providing guidance.
Participates in the analysis of clinical environments and the evaluation of applicable evolving technologies including but not limited to the EHR. Facilitates projects which support optimal clinical practice workflow and patient outcomes.
