Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

This role will be based in our Philadelphia PA (Exton) office.

This position is hybrid 3 days in-office and 2 days WFH.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can execute project work partner with senior geotechnical engineers provide mentorship to junior staff and engage with clients. On the job you would be expected to:

  • Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects;
  • Manage geotechnical projects from planning through execution ensuring delivery on time within budget and exceeding client expectations;

  • Oversee scheduling cost management and resource allocation;

  • Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs construction observation and associated documentation;
  • Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis geohazard evaluation ground improvement and earth retention systems;
  • Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development;
  • Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports;
  • Prepare construction specifications and drawings;
  • Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects;
  • Positively interact with client representatives; and
  • Development of scope of work project budgets work breakdown structures and schedules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or geology.
  • 8 to 10years of geotechnical/geological engineeringexperience.
  • Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of: MS Office including Word Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile Uni-pile SHAFT gINT GRL WEAP GEO STUDIO and FAD preferred.
  • Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Masters degree
  • PE and/or PG
  • Candidate within commuting distance of either any of these locations: Exton PA; Cranberry PA; or Bridgeport WV.
