Step into Your New Role
Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
This role will be based in our Philadelphia PA (Exton) office.
This position is hybrid 3 days in-office and 2 days WFH.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can execute project work partner with senior geotechnical engineers provide mentorship to junior staff and engage with clients. On the job you would be expected to:
- Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects;
Manage geotechnical projects from planning through execution ensuring delivery on time within budget and exceeding client expectations;
Oversee scheduling cost management and resource allocation;
- Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs construction observation and associated documentation;
- Complete engineering analysis including: soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis geohazard evaluation ground improvement and earth retention systems;
- Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development;
- Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports;
- Prepare construction specifications and drawings;
- Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects;
- Positively interact with client representatives; and
- Development of scope of work project budgets work breakdown structures and schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or geology.
- 8 to 10years of geotechnical/geological engineeringexperience.
- Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of: MS Office including Word Excel and Power Point.
- Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile Uni-pile SHAFT gINT GRL WEAP GEO STUDIO and FAD preferred.
- Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Masters degree
- PE and/or PG
- Candidate within commuting distance of either any of these locations: Exton PA; Cranberry PA; or Bridgeport WV.
