For more than 75 years our success has been a direct result of the talent skills and persistence of our people and we are looking for a Technology Risk and Controls Oversight Manager to join our Technology Oversight team in Edinburgh.
The Technology Oversight team is a growing global team which is part of Franklin Templeton Technology (FTT) with team members in Poland Luxembourg India and the United States.
This team has a responsibility to ensure that all regulatory requirements are identified and implemented within the technology space with concentration on specific jurisdictions such as Luxembourg and the United Kingdom.
Data Protection and Outsourcing regulatory requirements bring an additional layer of oversight and scrutiny in Technology related outsourcing engagements.
A successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Understanding interpreting and implementing oversight framework for technology which is in line with the UK regulatory expectations.
Maintaining technology oversight framework and prepare relevant reports for the UK boards ( fund boards).
Stay proactive and alert to any new regulatory changes (UK and World).
Communicate any regulatory changes around Information Technology to relevant stakeholders and prepare plans for implementation.
Be Information Technology representative during any relevant regulatory inspections.
Globally:
Participate and advise in any global control implementation and improvements.
Work with internal and external auditors as a liaison for the business.
Participate and advise in any global regulatory implementations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
At least 5-7 years experience in technology audit technology compliance or other regulatory technology role (within financial services a plus)
Must possess strong knowledge of current UK technology regulatory requirements.
Must possess good documentation skills (policies KPIs SLAs etc.)
Experience working in team-orientated collaborative environment with teams spread across multiple locations across multiple time zones.
This role does not have headcount responsibility so no formal managerial experience is required.
Self-motivated directed and with keep attention to detail.
Professional Level knowledge of spoken and written English language is required.
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills as well as strong logical analytical and problem-solving skills.
