Job Description
- Developing competence to carry out assembly of products in line with standard operating procedures and relevant standards.
- Developing competence to carry out testing of products to specified product methods and in line with standards and procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Developing competence to ensure sales order requirements are interpreted correctly and delivered as required.
- Liaising with supervisors on quality issues arising from manufacturing.
- Developing competence in ensuring that all tools/machines used are fit for purpose and reporting any problems to Supervision immediately.
- Recommending and carrying out any improvements in line with the companys continuous improvement program.
- Working at all time within Health and Safety guidelines including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintaining excellent levels of house keeping.
- Keeping accurate and up to date production records.
- Showing flexibility and working in other parts of the production areas as required.
- Taking an active role in Perfect Execution activities where required.
- Being aware of and following all company policies and procedures in carrying out the role
Attendance at additional training in other areas that complement the Apprenticeship
- You have the capability to efficiently and accurately handle complex tasks. You are self motivated with a positive can-do attitude.
- Work to achieve the Level 3 apprenticeship standard Engineering Fitter
- Attention to detail and pride in quality of work
- Quality focused
- Flexible and adaptable for potential cross functional training
- Basic IT skills
- Prior experience of valve assembly would be desirable but not essential.
