ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Solutions Lead ERP Project this position is responsible for the development and delivery of the data governance practical migration strategy data classification and workplan execution reviewing and approving work products and deliverables for the Data stream of the Regions enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation project; establishing data governance leading data cleansing and readiness ensuring accurate data migration and maintaining data quality integrity and relevance through implementation. This role is critical to ensuring data quality and readiness throughout the ERP transformation lifecycle including post-implementation sustainment and governance

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Develops strategy and plan for the projects data stream addressing governance migration and sustainment ensuring alignment with business objectives and the Regions overarching data strategy.
  • Establishes data governance for the ERP including data access controls data ownership and data stewardship including cross-module consistency and ownership across Finance Human Capital Management and Procurement domains.
  • Leverages processes templates and materials as developed by corporate data partners and adheres to established policies / standards and naming conventions (i.e. Data Governance).
  • Ensures all work activities associated with the identification cleansing enrichment extract transform and load of data from legacy systems into the new ERP system solution are accurate and auditable.
  • Works collaboratively with the project team to prepare the project plan for data activities cutover tasks deployment activities and risk management.
  • Provides estimates risks assumptions issues and dependencies (RAID) and regular status updates to the project manager(s) for data stream activities.
  • Applies understanding of cloud-based ERP platforms and data structures to guide mapping transformation and sustainment efforts.
  • Works with subject matter experts and system owners to define legacy data sources mapping business rules and historical data needs and identify inaccuracies redundancies and gaps in existing data ensuring data quality and readiness prior to data migration.
  • Establishes data validation rules to capture technical and functional data validation results. Tailors program data migration strategy across data cleansing extraction mapping and enrichment as it applies to each applicable legacy system function within the Region and communicates this to each owner / team.
  • Develops and oversees data readiness migration validation and reconciliation reporting process that includes a data validation plan scorecards and reports.
  • Ensures establishment of Master Data Management (MDM) standards governance and operational processes to promote data consistency across ERP modules domains and applications.
  • Works with business to determine regulatory and non-regulatory archival/historical data requirements.
  • Works with the system integrator in a two-in-the-box model in delivering the data stream work plan including successful data migration through mock data loads identifying and remedying issues and final cut-over meeting defined exit criteria.
  • Works with training specialists to develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users on data-related aspects of the ERP system.
  • Supervises staff including recruitment selection hiring scheduling assigning and monitoring work determining training and development needs coaching and mentoring conducting performance appraisals and determining/recommending disciplinary action up to and including dismissal in accordance with collective agreements Regional policies and practices.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Successful completion of a University Degree in Computer Science or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in large data conversion projects preferably with enterprise cloud-based systems and/or ERP transformations including a minimum two (2) years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience translating abstract data strategy concepts into practical data migration validation and sustainment plans in enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of data governance ETL processes data cleansing and data migration for master and transactional data
  • Familiarity with data related to ERP domains such as General Ledger Chart of Accounts Suppliers Customers Employees and Purchase Orders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant program development applicable legislation and industry standards and current practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Standards Acts and Regulations.
  • Ability to demonstrate the Regions core and leadership competencies for this level.
