Job Description
- Location: Round Rock TX 78665
- Assignment Duration: Permanent
- Shift: 12 HR Mids 01:00 PM 01:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Conduct patient assessments and identify urgent/emergent care needs.
- Develop and implement patient care plans based on clinical findings.
- Monitor and document patient progress adjusting care plans as needed.
- Administer medications IVs and perform emergency interventions.
- Coordinate patient transfers and communicate with physicians and care teams.
- Ensure patient safety comfort and privacy at all times.
- Educate patients and families about treatments and aftercare.
- Act as a patient advocate in the healthcare system.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program (specialized in nursing).
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact license).
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department (ED) is required.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices standards and emergency procedures.
- Familiarity with federal state and local nursing laws and hospital protocols.
- Proficiency in medical terminology disease processes medications and side effects.
- Strong ethical and professional standards with respect for patient rights and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Competence in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office EMR scheduling systems).
