Job Description

Adelphi is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services to students at a school in Whireriver Arizona. The ideal candidate will provide in-person assessments direct therapy and consultation services to students and school staff in support of students with fine motor skills sensory integration needs and other functional challenges per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The therapist will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with federal education standards and documenting services in the Native American Student Information System (NASIS).

Requirements:
Master s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current and valid license from the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
National Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Minimum of 1 year experience working in school-based or educational settings
Familiarity with the IDEIA IEP development and documentation
Proficient in data entry and case management within electronic systems such as NASIS
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check including fingerprinting
Up-to-date immunizations including MMR Tdap Polio and negative TB test

Responsibilities:
Conduct OT assessments reevaluations and screenings per BIE timelines
Develop individualized OT plans with measurable goals and service minutes in NASIS
Provide biweekly direct therapy services to approximately 6 students on-site
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
Submit written evaluation reports prior to team meetings and quarterly progress reports
Provide instruction and supervision to a teaching assistant
Maintain accurate service documentation for each student visit
Collaborate with school staff and parents to support therapy objectives
Recommend necessary equipment and accommodations for student support
Ensure compliance with confidentiality and federal data security requirements
Attend periodic meetings with the Special Education Department for updates and coordination
Any other duties as assigned
